Tied up

After Family Home Evening Russ wrapped the kids up in some kind of wrapping tape from work.

The kids thought it was pretty funny.

They both tried to break out of it, but Gracie needed help.
This happened a few weeks ago, tonight we talked about being reverent. The kids needed some reminding and it was a really nice evening. We reminded them that they get to go up on the stand in church next Sunday and sing and Gracie turned to me and said, "I get to go up?" When I said, "yes" she ran to me and gave me a hug. And then William said us hugging made him embarrassed. It was a pretty funny night.

I have to admit that I am a little nervous for them to sing up there. Not because I think they won't do a good job. It is just that last year I bawled like a baby.  But I think I had a lot more things against me last year, like:
1. it was the first time William ever went up on stage
2. he looked at me the whole time while he sang, "Mother I love you"
3.I was pregnant, so hormones were crazy

I should be okay this time, but who knows cause there will be two kids up there. And I better not cry cause Gracie really does not like "my happy face cry". That is what she calls it when I cry because I am happy. And being a mom really does make me happy. Wish me luck.

  1. Haha well don't feel bad. During every primary program I fight back tears the whole time and I don't have ANY kids up there. It's because I think about the day they WILL be up there and I almost lose it :). Now just add to the fact that they'll be up there singing to their mothers and I'm sure I'll be crying too. You want me to sit next to you so we can cry together? Ha ha maybe then Gracie won't be distracted by your happy face cry and will instead wonder who the weird chick is sitting next to you. :)
