J'adore

I adore everything about this show, and I don't really watch TV. I keep thinking of the many things I could write as to why I love this show, but I won't. Just know I adore everything and can't wait until tomorrow night.

I owe a huge thank you to Connie for buying the first season so I could fall in love and be all caught up. Come over to our place if you want some pie. I am going to be working on pear and gruyere, I'll let you know how it turns out.

Twinkle toes, you mean wrinkle toes

Yesterday William was playing in the empty tub and Gracie was standing outside the tub watching him and squealing, so I decided to put some water in that tub and let them splash about. It must have been for awhile, I seemed to loose track of time playing with them, but when I was getting Gracie dressed this are the little wrinkled feet that greeted me. Nothing better than a clean baby on a clean bed with the sun shining through the window.

So yummy

A few days back I was not sure what to make for lunch and so I started pulling things out of the fridge and using what I had to make a yummy grilled cheese sandwich. Now I am going to make sure I always have this stuff to make it. The camera happened to be sitting next to me on the table so I picked it up to take a picture of this new found creation.
Here is how I remember making it:
chopped up about half a bunch of green onions
sliced 3 or 4 baby Bella mushrooms
and then I sauteed that in olive oil (I may haved minced garlic into the mixture)
then I diced two thick slices of a tomato and threw it in when I turned the heat off.
I stirred it around and then put some cheese on some bread and then added the vegetable mixture and then a little more cheese on top and then grilled it like I always do. Turned out very good and I can't wait to make it with some awesome soup.

Sticky Fingers

The other day at the Farmers Market William really wanted a sucker so I got one for Gracie too because I didn't want her to get sad. She got it all over her face and hands and loved every minute of it. She wasn't finished when we got home so I threw her in the high chair until she finished it. She was one sticky, happy girl.

I know, I know this girls hair is all over the place. I promise I do it sometimes.

Family Picures

You may have noticed that we have some new pictures of our family. That is all thanks to my good friends Elyse. She is a master photographer and I can't say enough about her work, I LOVE it. She usually does weddings and they are just magnificent. Anyway, when I found out I was pregnant I asked her if she could take pictures for us before I got sick and before I got big. Well, I ended up getting sick on this very day, but it wasn't too bad. I was also bigger that I would like to think I would be after one month of pregnancy. And since I had a miscarriage it was not quite so important that I get the pictures done then, but I didn't know that then. Part of me is bummed because I am not thrilled with my outfit and it was hot-hot-hot and Williams face got really red really fast. Both kids were cranky because of the heat, but Elyse still was able to get so many great pictures of us anyway. Thank you, thank you Elyse! Here are some of my favorites, enjoy!

I love getting family pictures done because I love my family and I love seeing pictures of us all together.

Funny, Very Funny

My cousin posted this little video on his blog and watched it and actually laughed out loud! Some of you may not know that I rarely laugh out loud, I am a silent laughter. I figure that is part of the reason Russ and I are so perfect together, he laughs enough for the both of us.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. (Mimi, I am tempted to forbid you from watching this until I am with you, but you can if you promise to laugh just as hard when you watch it with me then it's okay)

If you are anything like me you will have a hard time getting this song out of your head.

Dear William

I thought it was about time to write you a letter. Last night you and Daddy were being really silly (imagine that) and you were laughing a lot. When it was time for bed Daddy laid down with you and sang you songs. This is what you say every time you go to bed, "I want you to sing two songs, I am a Child of God and A Whole New World - A Whole New World first, then rub my back" and you say it almost in one breath.

Well, last night while Daddy was singing you started laughing and for a minute he thought you were laughing at his singing, so he asked what you were laughing at. You said, "remember when you were tickling me and I laughed." Now you saying this may seem insignificant to you but this is the first time your father or I have ever heard you laugh at a memory. You have never just thought of something that already happened and started laughing. I get the feeling this is the beginning of funny times to be had with you.

I also wanted to let you know that for the past few weeks you have requested a "peanut-butter-honey-samich-cut-up-in-triangles" everyday for lunch (and I usually give it to you). Sometimes you even request it for breakfast or dinner (which I don't give you) and you eat it without drinking milk which your father thinks is CRAZY. I don't even eat that without a glass of milk, but a few months back you started telling me that the milk I gave you was yucky and you have not drunk it since except on cereal and as ovaltine.

You want to play Candyland all day but we usually only play four to five times. You always tell me you want to get Queen Frostine (you really like pretty ladies) and you even requested to be her for Halloween. But we are constantly changing our minds about Halloween costumes this year. You are having a Candyland birthday party this year and I know you are going to LOVE it.Randomly through out the day you will tell your Dad or I that you, "love [us] so much". Sometimes you tell me that I am beautiful. You introduce yourself to everyone you see and say, "Hi, it's me William." You ask a gazillion questions a day. You are a great little boy and I love you so much.

Where's Graice?

This is a new game we have been playing at our house, and it is loved by all.
This is how it goes:
"Wheeeere's Gracie?"

"Oh, there she is!"

"Wheeeere's Gracie?" "Oh, there she is!"
"Wheeeere's Gracie?" "Oh, there she is!" You get the idea

A whole new world

I heard William singing A Whole New World from Aladdin, so I turn and see this... That's right, Tigra (from the 80's hit show Thunder cats) is riding on a "magic carpet" or just the key card to the fitness center.

This kid makes me laugh.

Gracie's Birthday - Part 2

Opening PresentsHere we are reading the card from Grandma and Grandpa and opening their gifts. Cloths are really exciting for this girl. Then they gave her this awesome phone that both she and I LOVE. Aunt Kirsten gave her the softest little bunny with the cutest orange outfit. Gracie Hugged it immediately. She also gave her a little bug that squeaks and gets a lot of use around here.
This is the present I made her...
A strawberry purse. It is soft so she loves to hug it and someday she will love to put little treasures in it.
Here she is hugging and lamb and reading the lamb book from Grandma and Grandpa.
And check out these awesome babies she got from the Rex and Shaleigh family.

It was so fun to watch her open presents. She is only one, but loves every minute of it.
