Catch a break

I feel like Joe gets sick so often. He was finally better and was asleep in bed one night while Russ had William and Gracie at a gymnastics open gym. All of a sudden he started crying loudly out of nowhere. I went in and lay by him and started to rub his back and thought it felt pretty warm, but I thought "there's no way he can be sick, he just got better". Just then he started to throw up. After he was done and I got it cleaned up I went and got the thermometer his temperature was 104°. I gave him some ibuprofen and then called Russ to come home but he was already on his way. I told him to also call his dad so that he could come over and help give Joseph a priesthood blessing. We gave him a blessing he still stayed pretty warm then we put him to bed like this:
He slept through the night and woke up the next morning with a normal temperature and feeling fine. We took this picture to send to grandma and grandpa to let them know that he was feeling better.
Then the next day he got stung by a bee on his leg while swimming in the pool.
Then a few days later he got stung on the hand.
He tried to write and color with his left hand since his right hand was so swollen, but that wasn't working so well. He started coloring with his right hand even though it was so swollen because nothing can come between him and his coloring. I don't think I've seen anyone so dedicated to coloring in the lines as Joseph is, he is really good.
Sometimes I feel like this poor kid just can't catch a break.

What Loula loves

She loves playing in water. She doesn't even care if it's cold.

She loved my apple so much she would cry if I took it away from her face.

She loved the puppy, Thor, that we were sitting so much that she sat straight up in this bouncer when he walked by.
She loved chewing on all my foam brushes (they were clean) while I cleaned out my sewing room.
She LOVED sitting up in the cart like a big girl (she could only do it because of the strap).
She loved when I thought the white stuff in the tupperware was yogurt and fed it to her (it was really sour cream that Russ was going to take to work).
She loves falling asleep in my arms and playing with my neck when she does. She is the only person I let touch my neck.
She finally stayed asleep at grandmas house and took a little nap.
She loves wiggling and rolling around so much that she nearly fell on her little head. I guess that's what the straps are there for.

Bird catchers

Sometimes birds get trapped in our chicken coop and then my kids always catch them. And bring them inside. Just as I was giving a lecture about not bringing birds into our house Joe says "but mom it likes me see..."
The bird seriously never tried to flyaway.
These kids are so much like their father.
