The last day we were the only ones left. Rex and Shaleigh's family left around noon and we spent the morning lazying around. I had intended to help Kirsten get her house back in order, but wasn't much help at all. In the afternoon we decided to go down to the gulch.
It is a steep walk down but once you are down there it is amazing. The only sad thing was all the litter that was down there. I can't believe it doesn't bother people to just leave their trash everywhere.
That backpack proved to be very helpful for the last half of the trip and we were wishing we had thought to use it Port Townsend.
We collected some moss and brought it home to put in our terrariums we were going to make.
We had a wonderful talk down there about Gods beautiful earth and all the wonderful creations.
Later we went back and Russ put the kids to bed and Kirsten and I went out to eat and brought him food home. Ted and the boys went to a concert to see Free the People. It was fun to see them come home all hyped up but at the same time so tired from the concert. It reminded me of my younger concert going days.
The food where we ate was delicious, but the company was better. Even being there 7+ days was not enough time to catch up with Kirsten. I love her so much.
I feel extremely grateful to have married into such a wonderful family.
And when we got back Russ ate and we cleaned up the kitchen and stayed up way too late...again.
scrumptious food and luscious greenery! adore!
