shipping day

When shipping for etsy shop I use my Trader Joe's paper bags and turn them inside out. Sometime I use a bubble wrap liner and sometimes I don't depending on what I am shipping and then I sew up the edges.
I usually write the address on before I am done and then I can't take a picture. I finally remembered to take a picture before I addressed these ones.

I use a sharpie to draw something fun and keep it simple and easy.

It does take a little time, but not as much as you might think and it definitely saves money.
I looked it up and found that there are a few tutorials out there on how to do this. Anyone have any other diy shipping ideas? I would love to hear them.

  1. Those are way cute! Definitely something I would save after I got in the mail :). Don't know what I'd do with it other than look at it, but still. I love unique packaging. You're so talented!!

  2. "Simple and fun." Yeah, right! For you, Miss Crafty, perhaps, but not necessarily the rest of us schlubs (i.e. ME!). I can't draw. Now, tell me how "simple and fun" it is! Ha, ha! :)

    1. I used to think I couldn't draw, still do to some extent. I can't draw people or animals very well. Seriously take a pencil and paper and look at what I drew and try drawing it yourself. It is easier than you think.
