Memory Lane

Well since Amy was doing this and I had to leave a memory on her blog I decided to stick it up here. I would love to hear others memories. Please share.
Here are the directions:1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! 2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

  1. Oh, I love it! Sara wants me to do the fox trot with David at our wedding!

I remember preparing you a fancy bath in my parent's bathtub! :)

  2. A funny one...
    "Will you suck my thumb?"

    And a serious one...
Remember that one time when we ditched mutual and hid in the cleaning closet at the church and had a really great talk. You probably don't but I do and I am glad you were always there to be like a "mother" to me growing up:)

  3. So fun!

I remember the first time we met was on my 19th birthday - we were going to a movie and on the way I was looking at you and Russ together and thinking..."wow...I hope Russ knows that she's perfect for him!"

  4. oh I have so many, so so many. One that I think about often as I am grateful for the Hustons and all that we have been through together... When we were riding to my house super late on our bikes and we heard this noise and all of a sudden a humoungous tree branch came crashing down in your path. . . i laughed all the way home. Ahh the days when we couldn't drive and bonded under the stars in your front yard!
    love ya Deb

  5. Let's start with how we met: You were in my seminary class and when we would make eye contact I would just scowl at you. For absolutely no good reason. We would both just laugh. Who becomes friends like that?! I think I had a crush on you and didn't know how to handle it. I loved coming over with Lauren. You girls were so cool. I had my first pomegranate EVER at your house.

  8. Hi Debbie! I found your blogs from the list on someone else's blog and I have just loved the pics of your beautiful children.

So as I got thinking about it, I have a LOT of memories of you during the summers when we were kids. I remember jumping on your tramp with the hose, playing in the trailer, making up dances to Disney songs, swimming in the canal, playing lots of 'school' with the old desks on the back patio, eating peaches right off the trees, watching lots of Saved by the Bell, and the St. Patrick's Day surprise that you set up for Becca and I complete with little green leprechaun shoes. You once had this fake cigarette that would blow baby powder or something so that it looked realistic. I thought you looked sooo cool with it held loosely between your fingers...but we had to keep it hidden from your mom. =)

The Debbie Huston I remember LOVED her family, was so creative and imaginative, passionate, and always made me envious with the ease in which she laughed and talked with others.

  9. Dressing up in who knows what and turning off all the light except the ones over the fireplace & turning our fireplace into a stage where we sang and danced.

  10. All time favorite memory of you Debbie was your wedding announcement. I couldn't believe that Russ found a woman that gave his fro hair a run for his money. I still chuckle thinking back on it.

  12. I remember at our first PT Christmas party when Ben spilled the beans that you were pregnant with Grace, only b/c you said you had gone to a doctor and he asked if you were pregnant. I guess guys think that is all we go to the doctors for.

  13. Where to even start? Maybe at the beginning I suppose... I remember the time I hung out with you, Connie, and Jacie for the first time and we ended up making that Buffy movie at the golf course.

"It's funny because in my brain, you guys sound like you are sisters, but I know you're not..."

Also, the night of the Beach Boys was just all around awesome.

  14. Okay, mine is lame... because I have only ever really met you a few times in person.

I remember that you had a really GREAT theory about the way a certain book might end... and I have to say I agree with you :) I also remember that it is always a good time when I go somewhere and you are there :)

    See? Lame... I know.

  16. I don't know what the first memory was, but I do know that one of them was camping on my birthday and you picked me some yellow wildflowers and you guys brought me a cake. Then there was the night after the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert where we stayed up until the sun came out. That night that I realized I don't like being awake late enough to witness the sun come out.
