Miss Grace

Now Gracie was much harder to photograph. I tried singing some of her favorite songs, but here here she is below sayong, "no, nuff!" Which means, "no, enough." I promise I don't say that her when she sings. The pictures aren't bad, but they are not great. And thank heavens for picasa and retouch tool so I could get rid of all the pieces of the seed pod that got all over her sweater. I couldn't get her to put that thing down.
So now again, help. Let me know your favorite.

Mr. William

I took some pictures of William last weekend. My camera is not the greatest so anytime my children are dressed nice and it is overcast outside I try to get a good picture. I was glad to get these because with the heat coming we will most likely be cutting Williams hair before long and I wanted some nice pictures with it. I also like these because they are very natural of him. Like the one below is not posed at all. He walked behind the tree and then I said, "where is William?" and he popped out like this -

I think I am going to get one of these printed and framed but I would like some other opinions. Which one is your favorite?

I already narrowed it down a lot (I took a lot more than 4 pictures). And I will share I how got such nice relaxed and natural pictures of him. I told him we would be taking pictures (but not for a long time) told him roughly where I wanted him to be then I asked him, "can you say 4-6-9-3?"(or any other sequence of numbers) and then when he did it I would say, "wow, great job!" and he would smile and look away. I can't tell you how happy I am that I figured that out. Now I just need to figure something out for Gracie. Her pictures are next.

Easter Celebration 2

We woke up to rain on Saturday and we were supposed to go to the park for my families Easter picnic. So we got in our best wet weather clothes and went anyway.
Luckily it stopped raining and the sun even came out. We had the kids go play while we hid the eggs and then I made them line up for a picture on the bridge.

Then we let them loose.

and Gracie was a very busy girl

discussing her Easter ring with Ryantrying to do something with her mothers unruly hair. she walked her daddy all over the place, especially up and down those steps.
played with the baby
and what a cute baby he is.They guys decided to catch some football. Russ stood on one hill and threw the ball to the guys on the other hill.

The kids played too.
I like how you can only see on body but three sets of arms in this picture. Yes, the football went in the water, but they got it out.

It was wet, but...
it was a good day.

She has a new love

And it is running down hills. She loves it so much and goes pretty quickly for her little legs. Our neighbors have a slightly slanted walkway and she is always sneaking over there so she can run up and down it. I am going to have to get a video of that.

These were taken at the park the day of my families Easter picnic. I have not had time to organize all those pictures yet but I will get to it soon.

Easter Celebration 1

We had an Easter Egg hunt with Russ' family on Friday. William and his cousin Jack were pretty excited and had their baskets ready. Here they come!

I was worried that Gracie might not get it so I explained before hand that she would put the eggs in her basket and Russ told her they were going to "clean up" the eggs. Between the two of us, she got it.
William discovered some candy. And promptly put it in his mouth.
When Gracie would see an egg she would yell, "eeeeegggggg" and then pick it up and put it in her basket. She did this for a long time and got a lot of eggs. I don't think she would have hunted as long if she knew what was in the eggs.

When William had enough eggs he found himself and seat on the swing and dug in, fast. When I told him he could only eat a couple of eggs he looked at me with his most serious face and said, "I am going to eat all of it right now." We had a talk and he didn't eat all of it, thank goodness. He was hard enough to deal with when he only had a few eggs.
Later that evening when William was going to go potty he obviously waited to long because as soon as he pulled his pants down he started to go and went all over his pants. He was walking around with this in front of him to cover up.

I don't know if he realized that he looked like this from the back.
Luckily Uncle Vic helped him out and he was looking much better after that, but we decided that it was probably time to get going home.

It was a lovely day and a wonderful start to our Easter weekend.
