Our family - for infinity and beyond

Last week I wrote on my blog that we would eat dinner outside and spend the evening looking at the stars.
Well, I invited some neighbors over last minute for dinner and we were eating stuffed peppers. So we ate inside because those would be messy on your lap. When they went home we pulled out a blanket and the kids laid down for .2 seconds and then ran around and jumped on Russ and I while we admired the stars. That night a new family game was created.
Gracie would stand on the edge of the sidewalk and then very loudly say, "and beyond" and then jump (step) into the grass. Before long we were all standing on the sidewalk jumping into the grass and then running across the yard to the other sidewalk. I don't have any pictures from that night, but I do have some from the next day.
We have played it many times since then. And had many meals outside. It is so wonderful outside right now and I love spending time with my family.

We also decided last week that William was going to start sleeping in his bed again and not on our floor. He really likes it when I wear skirts and so I jokingly told him that if he stayed in his bed all night that I would wear a skirt the next day. Well, he stayed in bed all night and the first thing he said when he saw me was, "you need to go get on a skirt and a shirt." Here he is bringing me a flower because I was so pretty in my skirt.

This kid makes me laugh.
