In my last post I expressed how much I love throwing parties. Well, I threw a dinner party for my Mother-in-law for Mothers day. I invited all the sisters in the area and their daughters. I really wanted to do this also because one family will soon be moving to Texas and we wanted to see them again before they go.
I had a table for the mothers, teens, and little girls. The paper place mats for the mothers said "Mother" is all different languages. And the fabric flowers that you see have pins on the back and they all got to take one.
The little girls table said "Oh So Sweet"
and the teen paper said things like, "girls just want to have fun". I fell in love with this fabric when I saw it, It has all these little ruffles on it and I just thought it was too cute. I had planned on using wheat grass pots for the centerpieces, but it did not grow in time so thank heavens for the dollar store having bowls that matched my colors and floating candles! And I have wanted to try the butterfly's on the lantern for some time now (idea from Martha Stewart's website) and thanks to the Paper Studio I found some great butterfly's to cut out.
Russ' part of the gift was the dinner. He made a delicious Chicken Cordon Bleu with peas and rice. Along with a yummy type of ice cream cake (I don't remember the name).
It was a beautiful night and the best part was the, of course, the company. I am so glad we got the time to be together.
I reserve you now to plan Ainsley's wedding. Do not forget!
