Disneyland

Here we are ready to start our day at Disneyland. Our hotel is really close to Disneyland so we decided to walk. It really wasn't that far but it kind of was that far and by the time we got there I was pretty tired.

In this picture I was trying to get Joseph to hold his hand and pose like the tree behind him was a sword (because that's what he kept calling them) and pretend he was holding it, but the picture was never meant to be. But this turned out pretty cute.

The kids didn't want to take this picture but I made them. Our day was filled with many miracles the first one was at the first ride we wanted to go one was Peter Pan ride and Brittney knew the person working the  ride and we were able to walk right on. That saved us about 45 minutes. 

The kids are so excited when they spotted the sword from The Sword in the Stone. It's a movie they've been watching every Sunday we go to the Christensens so they were all excited to take a turn.

Louise was such a good baby while we were there.

Brittany and Mimi were such good sports to going to teacups with the kids because that would've totally made me sick. They also made the trip easy and fun. I don't ever want to go without them.

Here's the girls waiting for us to get done on the Splash Mountain ride. We had a miracle happened while we were in line for splash Mountain some guy was walking past us and handed us a fast passes just enough for all of us to get on the ride it was awesome.

Joseph was pretty scared. He didn't start crying until the end. I felt really bad. But after we were off the right and he heard William talking about how fun it was he said he wanted to go again.

Gracie and I snagged a pretzel while we waited for everyone else to go on space Mountain. She was done with the scary roller coasters.

Because of Louise and switcher passes  I could go on space Mountain and usually they gave us two passes to go with it so William got to go on some of the rides twice.

I might not writr about the fact that Louise had a blowout and I forgot to bring extra clothes and I took her to the bathroom to change her while everyone else went on a ride. When I was in the bathroom I discovered that I didn't bring any wipes they were left in the other stroller. Yeah I might not write about that.

We spent most of the time on Tower of terror trying to convince Joseph and Gracie that it wasn't that scary. Gracie was just mostly scared of the movie that they play on the ride. She kept talking about it and asking me questions. 

Gracie and JoJo both crashed in the stroller. I sat by them on a bench and fed and put Louise to sleep while the rest of them went on the last ride of the day Star Tours.

I was a very fun and exhausting day.

A quick trip

In January Connie told me that she was making plans to go visit Mimi and go to Disneyland with her. And of course I wanted to go too. Mimi had some extra passes that were going to be expiring soon so we figured we better go ahead and do it. We were only going to Disneyland for one day so we decided we would drive one day and go to the beach that afternoon the next day go to Disneyland and then the next day come home. Joseph was just as excited about going to the beach if he was about Disneyland. He kept saying things like "thank you for taking me to the sea". I thought it might be too cold for the kids to play in the water but I was wrong. It was cold but it didn't seem to bother them one bit.

We really did have a wonderful time at the beach and it makes me excited to go back sometime this year hopefully. After that we went to our hotel that was close to Disneyland. Then we went to dinner with Mimi at Millies Café. That night in the hotel room we decided we should probably measure Joseph to see which rides he would be able to go on. He was just a hair under 40 inches which is what most of the rides require, so Connie and Mimi, just to be safe, ran to Walmart to get him some new shoes with thicker soles. By the time they got back the rest of us were all sound asleep in our beds excited for the next day at Disneyland.

Farewell Reeds

My neighbors and good friends, the Reeds, bought a new house and moved. They aren't far away but they're not down the street anymore. This picture was taken as the kids were going down to see if their friends could play one last time before they moved. Unfortunately they weren't home, but they were able to come over later that night for a farewell bonfire.

It was handy as we got to also burn some trash that's been in our yard for a long time. Including the old  Christmas tree.

We're really happy for them but pretty sad for us.

Park day in Jan-u-ary

One day while William was at scouts I took these little monkeys to the park. The weather was so nice and the trees smelled so good.

 

And they put Louise in the swing for the first time. She stayed happy in there for like 10 seconds.

 

Zoo day

Kirsten and Ted had us for Christmas and they gave us a year-long pass to the zoo. Such a wonderful gift for us. And we wanted to take advantage of it so when Russ had a day off of work we headed to the zoo.

It was a really fun trip but it kind of made me nervous. Because we had just decided that we were going to soon be taking a trip to Disneyland. And walking all over the zoo pushing the kids in the stroller made me so tired and I was worried I wouldn't be able to make it at Disneyland. Luckily people reassured us to Disneyland for quite so hard because the zoo is hot, more up-and-down, and a lot more distance walking.

Silliness

The first weekend in January was filled with a lot of silliness. Kayleen down the street decided to sell all her vintage clothing from her etsy shop flour clothing. She kindly agreed to let me come bring a lot of my vintage closes well to sell them there. The really silly part about all this was that hardly any people came. She was selling her cloths so cheap and I know so many people wanted them but very few people showed up. This also meant that I ended up coming home with more close then I ended up selling. That was also silly and awesome.

While we were doing yard sale type stuff Connie took my kids on a hike with some of my siblings and their kids. Here are Gracie, Joe, and Sam ready for the hike. William didn't go because he was feeling sick he stayed home with a fever.
